WPML Translation Select URL Problem

    Hi support team,

    I have the problem while clicking on German translation button of WPML language seletion, a wrong link is forwarded.

    URL Correct – EN URL
    Select DE URL (incorrect) – …/de/events/veranstaltung/
    should be (…veranstaltungen/… instead of …/events/…)
    from DE URL in EN it works!?

    I tried to find out within WPML > string translation
    or even in WPML > translation management > multilingual content setup
    but was not able to find where to change the first “events” to “veranstaltungen” within language selector.

    Please advice.

    Hi again. Just for info:
    It seems that does happen for all CPT’s because using the WPML translater switch not the translated language version is used. I think the WPML string translation is not accepted correct for Link URL creation.

    Other example:
    Local services EN or proper version in DE
    instead of wrong version from switch DE

    Hi Stiofan,

    I am getting from Google Webmaster Tools again Error’s in case of my german approach WCI de

    – URL 404 Failure (243 pc)
    – hreflang-Tags failure (3 pc)

    because of not using the translated string

    e.g.
    wrong (events) – https://www.worldcheckin.com/de/events/veranstaltung/live-auffuehrungen/shows-darstellende-kunst/shows/
    right (veranstaltungen) – https://www.worldcheckin.com/de/veranstaltungen/veranstaltung/live-auffuehrungen/shows-darstellende-kunst/shows/

    Please advice to solve this failure by using the proper WPML string translations within GD.
