    Hello
I have a few different sites using both versions of GD. I am slowly making the conversions. My question is in regards to one of my sites running V2. I have two distinct categories in my directory. They have very different listing information. Can I have an add listing page with one set of criteria and a completely separate one for another type of listing? Also can their detail pages be different as well?

    Thank you

    Hi Joe,

yes, the custom post type plugin allows creating as many listing types as you want, each with its own add listing form, categories, tags, prices, and custom fields.

You can also assign a different template to each CPT for the detail page and customize its design. That obviously requires some extra work. Extra templates don’t come out of the box.

    Thanks

Packages are used to have different fields for different categories of listings within the same CPT.

For example some fields are completely excluded from 3 packages for restaurants, and other restaurant fields are excluded from packages for salons.

Theme builders have settings to apply templates to different categories.
