    Hi,

GD has help me to install Version 2 of GD and now how i can use the Shortcodes instead of the Widgets in Version 2?

On Picture u can see the old Widgets Settings for the Lodgings etc. in Version 1!

    I have read the manual:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/

but I do not understand how to create or use the shortcodes.

I know I can paste them into the individual pages like
GD > General > Pages > Template Page Settings > Detail Page & Archive Page
than i click on Edit Page. Than i See the Shortcodes.

By me is now by GD Details:
    [gd_notifications]
    [gd_post_images type=’slider’ ajax_load=’true’ slideshow=’true’ show_title=’true’ animation=’slide’ controlnav=’1′ ]
    [gd_single_taxonomies]
    [gd_single_tabs]
    [gd_single_next_prev]

    And by GD Archive:
    [gd_notifications]
    [gd_category_description]
    [gd_search]
    [gd_loop_actions]
    [gd_loop layout=1]
    [gd_loop_paging]

I have read this 2 Pages:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/

But i don’t understand, which of the shortcodes I have to use to display, for example, the sidebar with address, opening times, phone number, email and homepage …

In Version 1 everything was there and i read the instructions i should save CSS and scripts, but i have not read any of the widgets settings.

Now I have to rebuild it as shown in the attachment on the photo. how do I do that without the version 1 installed to see what settings I had …?

    Thanks 4 r help

    Hi Kai,

Thanks for your post. Have you checked out the Shortcode Builder as explained here? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/

Everything is there and you can refer to the explanation here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/

    Hello,

on the Introduction, tells click on the 4 Blocks, see on the second picture, than look at the first picture, this symbol is only the one, if i click this there comes not a Shortcode programm to build shordcodes how in the Introduction.

From a Example i have become, a Shortcode from this Page: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/tabs/

    [gd_post_address show=”icon-value” address_template=”%%street%%, %%city%%, %%region%%, %%country%%”]

i have put it, than come the adress. But where is the telefonnumber, email, homepage etc., and why is this not how before in Version 1?

In version 1, I had everything already set in the widgets that everything is spent as I wanted, that was many works!

Now I should rebuild everything with shortcodes and CSS? It does not work that way, I expect you to rebuild it the way it was.

This is too much work and effort, I demand that you restore my settings for the output of the detail page and archives as it was in version 1 in and with Version 2. And in the next Year comes Version 3, and than i can begin again 1-2 Month to install the new Version?

    sry but that is unacceptable

Usually you will use the GD Output Location widget in the sidebar of the Details page to display all the fields that are set individually for “SHow in what locations -> Details page sidebar”

To show them individually use GD Post Meta and select the field in the element settings.
