    Hi there,
I have just uploaded pictures for some still unclaimed listings.

I am using the GD Surpreme Theme. When I look at the Detail page of the listings, I see that for all claimed listings, where users have uploaded their image(s), the big paralax image on the top is one of the uploaded images. (see screeenshot claimed_listing)

For the unclaimed listings where I have uploaded one image for each location, the paralax image on top is my default image and not the uploaded one. (see screenshot unclaimed_listng).

What can I do so that the detail page for the unclaimed listings shows the uploaded image on top?

Looking forward to your response 🙂
    Many thanks
    Birgit

    Hi Birgit,

Thanks for your post. Could you please share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that we could take a better look at it?

    Thanks!

Can you share a link to two listings for comparison?
I am wondering if you are using the free package for unclaimed?

It looks like you have marked the “is Claimed” field as required. It should be optional.

    Hi Alex,

this is a link of an unclaimed listing where I have uploaded the image from the backend (upload onto the ftp-server and import of the csv with the image links to the file on the server) – in the top there is still the default image of my website:

    https://planmy.wedding/hochzeitslocations/deutschland/mecklenburg-vorpommern/gross-plasten/hochzeitslocation-2/schlosshotel-gross-plasten/

Here is a link of a claimed listing where the user has uploaded his images from the frontend.

    https://planmy.wedding/hochzeitslocations/deutschland/hamburg/hamburg/hochzeitslocation-2/eventschiff-grosser-michel/

Testwise I have set the claim-field on “Optional” but it doesn’t make any difference.

Why should the claim-field be optional? It works fine when it is obligatory.

I set the claim field to yes and it did not make a change in the image.

How did you create the listing? When I uploaded an image it worked fine, just as expected.

If you are using “Claim Manager” then the assumption is that listings will be added by someone (an admin) and then claimed by someone else (2nd person, like site visitor).

If that is the case, then, with claim set to required, the original author will be the listing owner of record, and the claim button will not show on the listing. So, the visitor will not be able to claim the listing.

How did you create the listing:

Both listings I have created via csv-upload from the backend – without any images at that time.

For the listing which has been claimed by a user in the meantime (yes, I am using Claim Manager), the user has added the image from the frontend and it looks fine.

For the listing which is still unclaimed, I have added the image from the backend. Therefore I have uploaded the image on the ftp-server, then exported the csv for this post type, added the image link to the csv-file and uploaded the csv-file again. Here the image is not shown properly in the top section of the listing detail page.

It seems that the image of a listing is only shown properly in the top section of the detail page if it has been added from the frontend.

I have plenty of images to be added to plenty of unclaimed listings. To add images from the frontend I would have to open every single listing which would take me ages for more than 1.000 listings.

What must I do so that images that have been added to a listing from the backend are properly displaid in the top section of the listing’s detail page?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hello,

About the import. Are you setting the same image for each listing?

With GD each image will receive a separate media library ID that is stored with the listing.

Do you know about our fallback images feature?

When a listing doesn’t have an image, you can set a category, CPT, or general default image to hold the place of the image on the listing.

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/images/#fallback

When you import listings you will need to upload all the images added during an import to the appropriate FTP folder. Each image should be unique. If that isn’t working for you, please share a couple rows of test listings that you are trying to load with images and we can check into it further with FTP.

    Hello,

Uploaded images (new images) should only have the filename.jpg in the csv. You can read more about the format here:

    Hi Birgit,

Please check and let us know. Image urls added without http in csv do not uploaded during import post. If image does not exists then it just ask to upload into folder and set image to attachment.
