Hi Alex,
I did import without the lat/long info.
Not all of my addresses have been entered perfectly, some capitalisation issues, street line 1 + 2 entered the wrong way round, amongst other things so I have to do the “set address on map” for each listing to return the perfectly correct information – as per GMap.
Instead of manually doing this for each listing, is there a way I can run this across all existing listings to update the geolocation data?
Thanks.
Hi Alex,
I’ve managed to import the listings with locations over.
As there are some inconsistancies with how we’ve written the addresses, we’re having to go onto each one and click the “Set Address on Map” button which returns the proper correct address.
Is there a way to automatically run this function for all existing listings? I have 500 to do in this import batch and it’s going to be a big pain one by one. Like in GD > Status > Tools we have the ‘Fix duplicate location’ it would be great if there was one for ‘Fix geolocation data’ which we can run after doing an import.

Sorry, no records were found. Please adjust your search criteria and try again. Is there a template file where I can change this behaviour, either take the link off or link it to the listing detail page for the post?
Thank you Alex I will look into GD Dynamic Contents to see if it’ll meet my needs.

Example text: БояджийскиHi Alex,
Thank you for the static map tip, I didn’t have the Static API set up so configured that and it is working now.
Width 100% doesn’t work with this shortcode as it brings back a width of 100px so I’ve set it a bit bigger than needed and hidden the overflow in CSS.
Additionally, when using Grid 4 or 5 it throws the static maps off as the location is directly in the middle which is cut off in these grid views, see attachment.
I will play around with some css to see if I can dynamically recenter the image, but if you have any ideas please let me know, I will update when I find a fix for this.I had manually included my Google Maps API via functions.php, I’ve removed this and it is working as expected now.
Thanks for the advice.
My problem with the CPT solution is that search requests aren’t shared across CPT’s, the end user has to select a CPT from the search dropdown. I would want the user’s search to bring results in from all CPTs.
This is the search query I am trying to achieve, numbered by the sorting order:
Search Result:
1. geolocated results
2. partially matched location results (just city/region)
3. results with no location setJust wondering if we can make the address field optional instead of required would be a step in the right direction?
Thank you!
If somebody were to cover a certain region/city, is there a way for their listing to appear within the search results if the users search matches that region/city?
