It is built in and cannot be removed. It might be possible to hide it but wouldn’t it be better to leave the theme as is? It has several features built in to that included search bar, present on every listing page. The one at the top is in the GD Home Top section and can be removed.
ANything to get a recrawl, eh?

Do you have a staging site?
Hello,
When a location name is typed into the search results, the query is sent to your Map API provider to ask “Where is this?” The API responds with lot/lon, and then the database is searched for listings that are within the search radius of that point.
In the case of ‘san juan” it seems that this is not being recognized as the neighborhood that you mean.
If your directory is in just one city or area, you can add additional information to the the query. The setting is at
GD – General – Search – Add location specific text to (Near) search for Google
In this field you can write the name of the city, country and region like:
\city\ \region\ \country\
Ozoir-la-Ferrière, Île-de-France, FranceYou can also just add region and country, or even just country.
Adding that text should help near search queries be more specific and so interpreted better for your directory.
You can share the URL of the site so we can check on the search for you. It really will help a lot if you can send the queries you used to get the results you show in the screenshots. My hope is that you will see immediate improvement if you use the setting above.
1) How do I delete ‘places’ from map menu?
There is a link at the bottom for each CPT on your site. There aren’t settings to show or hide them.
can I move the map from home page and have a dedicated page just for the map view?
I created new page ‘Map’ but GD Map widget isn’t available on new page. You can remove the map widget from the home page.
For a map on a new page you can use a shortcode. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listingThis seems fixed, is it still a problem?
We will need to take a deeper look at this issue. Can you please share FTP access?
Please check now and let us know 🙂
If the Near field says “In” then it is a different kind of search, with different results, where all the results will definitely be INSIDE the area, not just nearby.
Thanks, I will flag this to see what the developers add about that.

Excellent 🙂
You’re welcome 🙂
-How can I increase the loading speed of the cover and the entire site?
Is there a specific problem? Have you considered upgrading your hosting/
-In which case is this GD configuration recommended?
GeoDirectory> Design> Scripts:
-Activate Slow Load of Images? –GD images will be loaded only when they are visible on the page.
All the time, unless it causes a conflict.
