Did you do something differently? Any ideas about recreating the issue?
The benefit is the ability to have completely different fields and layouts.
Each can be searched, but only within the CPT.
Once multiple CPTs have been added and listings added to them, then yes a CPT dropdown shows in search bar.
October 17, 2018 at 11:41 am in reply to: profiles created on one site showing on another site? #450066They should manage their listing on the ‘source’ site, primarily because changes to the ‘target’ site will be overwritten when updates are imported.
GD includes a “Dashboard” function so they can login and find and edit their listings. You can use the “author” field in the listing to assign the listing to the login of the staff member. Users must be promoted to the ‘author’ role first before they can be assigned a listing in the backend. There is also a plugin “Claim Manager Addon” that can facilitate that from the frontend.
Further, be sure to add the Loginbox widget to help your users with navigation on the ‘source’ site to find and edit their listings.
Hello,
thanks for sending the screenshot, that clarifies a lot.
Those extra folders should not be there. Usually there should be only a single folder geodir-gd-cache folder inside a wp-content/cache/ folder. Many things depend on the settings, though.
Can you say what setting you have for GDB for the cache folder?
You can include WP Admin in a private reply if you would like us to check the settings.
The Directory map will have a post type switcher, whereas the Archive map will be shown only on Listing/Archive pages where one post type is displayed (only). So no, it is not possible to show multiple post types on the same map at the same time.
The files in the folder can be deleted, you might want to do that next time or skip the folder completely as Kor mentioned. They are not needed for a backup.
“Featured” is one of the ‘features’ of the Pricing and Payments options.
If you don’t need or use other pricing features, you can also try using a category like “Featured”, and then use a shortcode or widget to display them like:
If “Featured” category is id=5
[gd_listings post_type="gd_staff" layout=5 category="5" post_number="10"]GD Search will only search one post type at a time.
Other search plugins options may provide different results but we haven’t seen any that do that. We don’t have any official integrations that are supported to search all listing types.
You would need to use the file upload field
Hello,
the link you sent is for a search page, and on that page (search) the CPT categories widget will show All the categories if the category filters are not selected in the widget options. The filters available for that widget are for categories, to guide visitors to other listings that are relevant by category, as opposed to location.
It is a little uncommon to use that widget on a search page, but still possible. You can see it is not used on our demo on the search page:
Please share your site details and we will check your widget settings.
The widget in your screenshot is a good one for Listing pages. Are you using it there?
Can you share a URL that shows the issue?
When I search Sayang, a listing is shown.
Can you say more about the issue?
Are you sure? You should be able to add as many file upload fields as you like.
What kind of error are you seeing?

we are unable to generate API keys.
Please sign in here: https://accounts.google.com/signin/v2
Make sure you have added billing to the project.
Once logged in, then return to the GD settings and click the button to generate the key.
GDV1 with Supreme Directory does not have a sidebar on the right side. The map take up the entire area. That may cause some issues with what you are trying to accomplish, there.
That said, perhaps shortcodes are not yet enabled in text widgets?
