Spaces in shortcodes are a mixed bag. I will ask the developers if there is anything to be done about that.

We do not have a preference or a recommendation, and though we have made some examples in the past with Beaver Builder that was because they have a free version. We like to make our demos with free versions where possible.

If you have any layout issues with GD templates, just write back here and we will do our best to help you.

Builders cannot be used on any of the template pages with GDV1. They can be used on the template pages with GDV2. GDV1 overwrites all content area in the template pages and in some cases can conflict with content in the content area. V2 is prepared for builder content in the content area.

Try adding this snippet to your site:

    add_filter('geodir_location_description', 'do_shortcode',10,1);

That will enable shortcodes in the location description field.

    Hello,

GeoDirectory does not come with membership type features. You will need a membership type plugin to achieve that, like https://wordpress.org/plugins/members/

It uses a shortcode? Which field are you trying to use it in?

A link to the edit page so we could see it in situ would help and admin credentials if needed.

Different themes have different options. You could contact the theme author to ask them for the feature you want to implement, or why they don’t already have it.

    Hello,
    1. Set address on map changes data

The location of the pin on that map is determined by Lat Lon coordinates. When you type in the address, GD is sending it out, that address, to the map API and asking “What is the lat lon for this address and the correct address?” When the answer comes back, GD fills in all the fields accordingly and adjusts the map pin placement on the map (based on lat lon).

However, in some specific cases the map API may give what you know to be incorrect information. There is bad data out there. In the case of a single address, there may not be much we can do about it. See this FAQ for more information: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/google/#osm

If there are a rash of addresses where you think the data is wrong, please send us the addresses in a private reply and we can check it out.

That said, the first step should be to review the settings at:

GeoDirectory – Multilocations – ADD LISTING FORM SETTINGS

Disable Google address autocomplete? – this will stop the zip codes from changing in the times before you press set on map.

There are several options there and a combination will probably help you.

If the placement of the pins is changing the address, and you really don’t want that to happen, then try Disable move map pin from changing address fields

    2. Categories

There should be no problem between listing display on the map and categories. I am not sure what you mean when you say the listing is not displaying correctly, because all the pins seem to be there. Can you be more specific?

It is a Ninja Forms bug, and they say they are working on it.

    can you give an example?

it sounds like you are looking for a double indent, like

    – Category
    – – Subcategory
    – – – Subsubcategory

I will flag your question for the developers, though I think that would entail a customization for the category select field in the search bar.

    Hello,

GeoDirectory plugin and our themes don’t have a feature like that, but you are certainly welcome to try out 3rd party plugins.

If you need hands on help with that you can contact an expert here: https://geodirectoryexperts.com/

Yes, you could try writing it in the body field and using the editor to format the html, add the links. Then copy and paste it where you like.
