Hello,
referring to the original instructions, it appears that the text field you created is not a number.
Please check the setup and correct that, then continue to review your customization to make sure you have followed each instruction.
Also, you will need to check to make sure that the WP DB table prefix matches what is present in the snippet, and update the snippet to match your tables. The snippet reads “
wp_geodir_gd_place_detail” but your WP installation may have a different table prefix.
i mean prefix is “wp_”
The snippet will not work if the setup is not done correctly.
The limits are set by the API you are using, either Google or OSM. In the past some users have attempted to contact Google about issues like that with varying successs, and OSM is a “DIY” application, so it os possible to login there and adjust something like the ‘city limits’.
That said, you can download the Location Manager from your account here on the site, install it, and then, as you add listings, curate the list of cities/regions where listings may be added. See the docs for more information:
The most likely reason is that you need to add billing to your Google Cloud Console project, see https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/directions/usage-and-billing
Hi Danielle,
Mega Menu is not providing the widget options. That particular widget offers options (settings) as Paolo mentioned here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/mega-menu-2/#post-440038
If the setting to turn off the location filter is not engaged, then the links will continue to be filtered for location.
You should contact the Mega Menu plugin author and ask them how to set widget options.
Ah yes, I read “Categories” but Paolo is right, that is the CPT description being used there.

5. Add listing page cutoff – please send your site URL so we can check on that.
1. We are looking into this and will post back about it.
2. This setting is at GeoDirectory – Settings – General (tab) – Default Location (subtab)
Thanks for letting us know! 🙂
This reply has been marked as private. Also, you can try adding location specific text to (Near) search for Google
The setting is at:
Geodirectory – General – Search – Add location specific text to (Near) search for Google
Try adding “United States” there
Hello,
How can I disable the “My Account” main menu?
That is part of the theme, and it can be hidden with CSS. Insert the following CSS at:
GeoDirectory – Design – Scripts – Custom CSS
.sd-my-account.menu-item { display: none; }OK, if you have already confirmed that user is the author of the listings, and the listing is published but not showing, we could take a look at your settings.
Just write back with a private reply to share site credentials for that user and we will check the settings.
Category descriptions and more are added inside the Category Editor, like:
Place Categories – Edit
We have heard recently that Google will rebuild their meta (titles and descriptions) and override sitemaps when showing results. Sometimes the engines have their own opinion about the description of the page. This may be the case with Moz, but it is hard to say without contacting them.
Please try it in your functions.php and let us know how it goes.
You can restrict user category choices with the Pricing Manager addon.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/prices-and-payments-add-on-overview/#prices
One CPT can feature several packages, each of which can allow different categories.
Add this CSS at Geodirectory – Design – Scripts – Custom CSS
.search_by_post {display: none;} -
