It is a commission on new paid listings, where the new customer was referred by an affiliate.

GD shows listings. Some of our members here have made “member maps” by getting each user to make a listing.
Unfortunately no, there is not a shortcode that will do that.
In V1 those action links are displayed via hook, requiring a customization. This is the code that shows the edit link on listings: https://github.com/GeoDirectory/geodirectory/blob/master/geodirectory-templates/listing-listview.php#L336

This is specific to the widget. You say you had only one user created, and that is the user who authored the listings/dummy content, too?
For the events pages, yes, they both exist, and you have the correct URLs. You can link to either one from your menu.

You will need the Location Manager Addon for that feature
Let me restate your initial request.
A custom select field that, when selection A is chosen, the field is not shown. When B is chosen, the field shows.
It is not possible without customization to ‘hide a field’ based on the value that the user selected.
However, it is possible to set the actual value to blank, but this will only get you halfway.
Here’s an example with cats:
You can specify the option name and value with a slash, to to add a blank option you can do this
Select an animal/,cat,dog,rabbitLike wise you can do things like this
Select an animal/,I love Cats!/cat,I love dogs!/dog,I love rabbits!/rabbitThe select visual option will be “I love cats!” but the actual value submitted will be “cats”
