A custom field cannot be both, it is either a custom field or a category, but you can certainly use the categories to do what you want. I think that will serve your purposes well as it will create pages that show each dance style.

depending on which theme you are using there may be a limit to how much space is alotted to the categories so they layout keeps shape.

You have enabled Jetpack login, and that is forcing users to go through WP to login/register.

I am still unable to access the site, probably due to a conflict with another plugin.
Try disabling your non-GD plugins to find out which one is causing the captcha and login redirect issue.
