I am not sure what the issue was, as it didn’t actually say there was an error. I suppose it be that someone was already logged in?
About your idea about reviews, and a notification to show pending reviews, I like that idea too and will pass it along for consideration for future versions. That feature is not currently included, but there are admin email notifications.
About the users roles, GD Listing owners need the author role, and that is only used by the automatic add or claim listing process, so you shouldn’t have to worry about it in regards to GD.
If you get another user like that in the future, let us know. For now that still sounds like a general WordPress issue and setting new users to ‘Subscriber’ certainly won’t make it any worse.

I took a look at your site. You have added a lot of listings and it is looking good!
I noticed your home page sidebar is empty. Are you going to use that area? If not, you can hide it at GD > Design > home
Your new category icons look good, they are a little smaller. There are several different styles available, one of the styles with more white in it might make the markers seem less cluttered again.
About your question, if there is a mobile setting for search radius, no there isn’t. “Nearby” features are all included in Advanced Search Filters addon, but it doesn’t include a separate setting for mobile.
What’s your plan with your site? Will you add more cities, or stay in London and the London area?
With the Location Manager Addon, you have some additional shortcodes that you can use, the “Popular Locations”shortcode will show a list of links to the different cities and regions features on your site.

Instead of using nearby features, then, you could share a list of popular locations, links to specific areas so your visitors can see the listings in those specific areas.
You might consider hiding one or more categories on the home page map to further reduce the number of pins.

We advise to never edit the parent theme files. Any theme you download and then setup for automatic updates, the update will overwrite the files included in the theme folder.

When you change a page template, you then have a custom file that you won’t want to be overwritten during updates, so you will need to be careful not to perform an automatic update on your child theme.

Whoop does not have support for featured images on pages.
We will keep it in mind for future versions.

Reviews are similar to comments but not exactly the same.
You can try another recaptcha on comments, but that is a general wordpress issue and not relayed to GD.

Optimizations are built into GD and GD Booster.
You will almost always have render blocking and these other issues with WordPress unless you custom build your theme and run zero plugins…
