    The “Featured” setting is applied to Listings and can be configured in some Widgets and Shortcodes to influence display.

    Also, you may want to consider using a new page for your GD Home (Permalinks) and then adding Widgets to the home page. If you use GD Widgets you will have all the normal options that are available.

    Display of the Avatar on the listing is part of the theme; GD itself does not ‘put’ avatar images on the Listing Detail page (at all). It is the theme in use that does/doesn’t display an image.

    You are using Kleo, you would need to find a way to hook into the Kleo method for displaying the images associated with the user and insert some logic there that will display the image you want.

    Some of our official themes like Supreme Directory have images on the listing detail page. That does not mean that the BuddyPress image is displayed on those pages, though.

    When we talk about a 3rd party theme like Kleo, we take a step back and compare apples to apples. We compare how the GD plugin and Addons work in twentyseventeen Vs. Kleo, not Supreme Directory Vs. Kleo. There is a difference between ‘compatibility’ and ‘integration’. Supreme integrates with GeoDirectory, and has features that are coded into the theme to make use of GeoDirectory settings. The features you see in the Supreme Directory demo are ‘possible’ for Kleo, but are a the combined work of the plugins/addons and theme, and so cannot be achieved by ‘just’ the GeoDirectory plugin alone.

    So, in the case of twentyseventeen Vs. Kleo, we look to a demo of GD, with BuddyPress and GD BuddyPress integration and we see…no author image on the listing Detail page. Instead we see a text link to the author profile OR (with BuddyPress integration) a link to the author’s BuddyPress profile.

    I hope that helps clear things up, and we do by all means encourage Kleo users (there are at least 5 people using this theme now) to get together and ‘vote’ to the Kleo developers on further Kleo integrations exactly like what you are talking about.

    Your site is very quick, nice job! What hosting service are you using?

    Every site is different, but those sound like good options to try. I would say that a basic GD site does not require enough connections to derive a meaningful gain from sharding, but this will differ for each site based on the files they are loading. If you are happy with your site and plan to keep it in service for many years to come, then it seems like a reasonable effort to make. There is a ‘cost’ to sharding, which is delay for loading your new shard URLs, which is done automatically by GD Booster based on your root domain. The cost is the delay of DNS resolution. That ‘cost’ alone may cancel any benefit from sharding, but if your site grows in complexity the benefit may outweigh the cost. Only testing will really reveal the true impact.

    I want to echo what Guust said; there have been a number of releases for Invoicing and it is very important to update all GD and Invoicing plugins and Addons to take advantage of new features and fixes that have been applied in each successive release.

    The issue you are talking about can only be diagnosed on a site that is running the latest versions of each of the active plugins.

    One step you could take would be to try to recreate the issue with the gateway set to sandbox mode. This can be accomplished quickly by creating the listing, the purchase, and then setting the expiry date manually to today. Once the date is set, use the “Run expire check” tool at GD > GD Tools > Run Expire Check to force the process. Try that and let us know if you are able to recreate the issue.

    It helps if you can replicate the issue in a testing environment with the plugins and plugin versions you are using. As a member you can install the GD plugins on as many domains as you needed. Setup of a site where you can diagnose issues in the open source plugins makes sense. Such a site can then be used to replicate issues and allow us to see the issue, diagnose, and create improvements in GD.

    You would only need to setup the site to the extent that it replicates the issue you are experiencing.
