GD will create different location pages for each town automatically.
You can link to each one of the location listing pages.
Start by adding a listing to each town to see how it works.

That would be a customization, but you have lots of information here about the ‘pieces’ that would be needed.

It is not possible to use the listing image as the map marker.
When you click on the marker, then there is the popup which is called the “Map Bubble”.
The Map Bubble will automatically have the featured image.

Here are a few things you can check:
Default location is set
Each listing has a category
Each listing has a complete address
Make sure permalinks are set to Post Name (and save them again)If you still have an issue, make a private reply with your site URL and WP Admin credentials so we can take a look.

I see the profile link in the menu.
I visited the profile.
I was able to click the edit button.
I was not able to save the profile.
I received a 500 error.

We haven’t seen this except in extreme circumstances. In most cases this limit is only ‘theoretical’ based on myysql.
We will need access to your FTP to continue the diagnosis. Please verify your FTP and share it here in a private reply.
