We recommend you use WPML to run a multilingual site:

That document outlines the steps to take for listings, but the steps for categories are also very similar.
To be clear, GD comes with options for localization, as in translating the plugin menus or various plugin specific text. To translate your content, for example to provide your listings or categories in multiple language, you need WPML.

the short answer is no, but if we do that in the future we will include it in GD Booster which will help with pagespeed.

First I checked the settings at Invoicing > Settings > Currency and confirmed GBP
Then I visited GD > Prices and Payments > Prices > Edit > Title and verified you have added a GBP symbol in the Title field.
If you see any more currency symbols, let us know what page with a link and we can help you to change them.
The FTP information doesn’t work. I think the hostname is incorrect. Let me know if you verify that as working and want us to take a look at the language file setup.
