Thanks for reporting the developers will take a look.
January 6, 2020 at 7:38 pm in reply to: Confirmation-Mail after registration comes directly after mailadress is entered #524288I will flag your question for the developers. From what I understand, this option for creating the user on the add-listing page, is meant to be used for community sites where it is highly unlikely that users will come back to manage the listings. That said, the developers may have more ideas about this now that the feature is being widely used. As a best practice, though, if you want to have control over it, you should have the visitor register first before they view the add-listing page. That way you have control over the email through the user management plugin or through other WP facilities.

January 6, 2020 at 7:29 pm in reply to: Selecting a category from the autocompleter without activating the search #524286To use a category filter on the search bar requires adding a select dropdown, as described here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/advanced-search/#select
If you like you can use the Advanced Search Options to disable the category dropdown function, either disabling autocomplete for the search field completely or for titles only.
Thanks for your question, I will flag your question for the developers.
We always listen to suggestions and we add features based on popularity. We will certainly add it if it is popular request. We don’t have a public roadmap, but, as I mentioned, I have also added to the requests and the developers will take a look at it.

Whatever you did it is now showing a 503 error when I load a place. What did you do?
I am not sure what you men by ‘template applied’ – the templates are either for all listings or just one CPT like Places. Can you say more about that?
You can add another tab, with a shortcode in it, using the GD Tabs module, but you can’t add that through the divi builder. Instead you should skip using GD Single tabs and just use the code modules with the shortcode builder to add the shortcodes you want.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/
Did you add it to the customizer?
The map marker for the default category is used.
If you are using checkbox or multiselect you can see the option to set the default category.
The 404 is for an image. Check the listing and make sure all the images are present. If one is missing, remove it or upload a replacement.
If there is a problem with the sitemap you should check the settings for whichever SEO plugin you are using. If there is a problem with that you should probably contact the SEO plugin author.
January 6, 2020 at 2:27 am in reply to: Issues with translations – Page Not Found when setting location #524171There seems to be a problem with the locations in the database. A Lisbon listing is getting lisbon/lisbon//lisbon/lisbon in the URL.
Are you using only the default location? The correct structure for the category+location URL is
/CPT_SLUG/CAT_BASE_SLUG/%category%/%country%/%region%/%city%/
Check your locations database to make sure you don’t have duplicates there. If we need to check the settings please share WP Admin in a private reply.
Hello,
the way that browsers work, users need to explicitly give the browser permission to pass on their location to a site, so, no, it isn’t possible to have Near Me set as the default.
The default distance is available as a setting in
GD – Settings – Search – Default radius

Try resaving permalinks, as described here, when that happens:
