There are some options in the Locations tab for removing some items from the sitemap, you can use that.
You can use the Locations database to find listings in certain cities, or the CPT+Location archives to see them on the frontend.
Don’t forget about the location page template, too. That creates a page for each location.
GeoDirectory offers the GD Post Images element which has several options for links including Link to post details and show the image in a lightbox lightbox. Other settings would require a customization.

GeoDirectory is setup for pay-per-post publishing. Each paid listing requires checkout. No special roles are required for GeoDirectory to work, and any roles can be prevented from access to the backend with a simple setting especially because the GD functionality for listing owners is all available on the frontend.
You can use additional plugins to change the way that works, but we don’t provide support for other plugins.

There is an option in the Locations (tab) for that. Make sure you click “Show advanced” and review all the options, looking for one to disable updating the address when dragging the map pin.
We have on the roadmap to autopopulate the listing info from the linked post, we just haven’t gotten to it yet.

BTW, why make a ‘category-in-location’ category when category+location archives are created automatically by GD?
Certainly, we have had a couple requests to revisit the ‘closed’ features and I will make a note of your ideas.
You could use the WP Page for the GD Search template, and lay that out with HTML and CSS .
I have asked the developers to look into the issue further. From what I understand this is not fixable at the moment.
Yeh, those are two different categories. Why have two categories if they are going to have the same contents?
