In the past we have seen as many as 60 or so categories before hitting the limit. You might say “Up to 50 categories” or something like that, depending on how many characters in your category names.
I belive that the field that stores categories is a text field and so is limited to 255 characters. I have asked the developers if there is a workaround and if there is they will let us know.
Unfortunately the answer must be no. We are working on making that 100% and we have a task to work on it. If you see your icon not showing in the new pin image then it is because that particular icon is not yet supported.
GD uses custom tables for images so we have created the GD Post Images element to use for display of the images.
I will take this up as a suggestion to share with the developers for future versions.

This reply has been marked as private.There is not, categories will almost always have different IDs on different sites. WordPress is very ‘human scale’ that way.
We don’t have a dated roadmap to share publicly. We have a number of items that we are working on, new features, ahead of that.
If you want to import these as new listings you will want to remove the value from the ID Column.
At this time we are still working on additional features leading up to that.
The code is not compatible with GDV2.
However, we have added a new custom field for this feature that will be available in the next version, which should be out very very soon.
