Are the listings still in the trash?
The setting is in the first page of the GD settings :
User deleted post: User deleted posts If checked a user deleted post will go to trash, otherwise it will be permanently
You are correct, it is a core WP feature and we don’t offer an option to disable it but you can set it in the package to have a 1 character in the character limit, or hide it with CSS from the form. If you hid it then you could control that bio field as a custom text area, or as a textfield, which can also accept a character limit.

I registered and received the ‘forgot password’ email immediately.
About the sending of passwords, it is considered best practice to never decode passwords (ever), so, sending a reset link is the best alternative.
The Change Password form is a page, and you can link to it through the menu. To find the page check the UsersWP -> Pages settings.
I will flag your question for the developers:
Is it possible to show “change password” as a link next to ‘privacy’ and ‘logout’ instead of only as a menu item?

The setting you want is in Places -> Settings – Packages (tab)
Then choose each package and adjust the field in the screenshot.
Make sure you show advanced settings so you can see it.
This option allows you to make some strategy decisions: maybe you don’t want people with a free package to claim a free package, or, you only want to allow the highest package.
When you set the listing up, then you can always choose a package. Some members make the new listings a sort of 6 month freemium, then don’t allow new claims to claim that same free package. Lots of options with GDV2.
GD Post Images has a slider-carousel feature now! [shortcode Title=”Exciting!”]
To use it, setit up as a “slider” but then set an image Show limit, which sets how many images are shown at once.

By ‘template’ Paolo means the GeoDirectory Single PHP template which requires developer skills.
Instead you might want to just hide the address there and place it somewhere else on the page.

I am not sure where that error is coming from.
If this is a new site, what happens if you deactivate and reactive the license key?
Another way to deal with that is to avoid linking directly to the search page. If you really need to, try linking to a search like “Restaurants” instead.
We will need the the site URL if we need to check the settings.
With the recent update we have a new Geocoding API key field in the advanced settings, right there on the first page.
If your API key is protected with referrer rules, then you will need to make a new key to use in that field.
