When this happens on your site are you seeing an error or notice in the GD modal for the contact form? Elsewhere?GD Categories will show relevant subcats on archive pages, specifically the archive page of the parent category, when subcats are allowed in the options. There are extensive options for the max cats and max subcats to show.
However there isn’t a way to output subcats for an arbitrary/specific cat or to show only subcats for a specific parent outside the archive template. I will add that idea to our list for consideration for future versions.

You can disable the physical address for a CPT. If that is what you are after, see these settings:

You can set the new registration role to subscriber.
You can use the options in the general settings to keep subscribers and other roles out of the backend. If they cannot access the backend they cannot add a new post with the backend editor.
