You can use translation to change the text, but not the link. You cannot leave the variable out but can minimize the text. I will flag your question for the developers to see if there is another workaround.

The only preview available is linked from the add listing page using the frontend editor, at the bottom, and that preview is only available to admins or the listing author when logged in.
To get a link or show the listing otherwise you would need to publish it.
Have you already added a trial package? Many members create a trial type package to show all the features available, then auto-downgrade to a lesser free package. Once you add a listing to the trial package you can make the package inactive so it is not available for others to choose.
