it looks like you need to add the GD Output Locations widget to the GD Sidebar.

Each theme can have rules for Widget spacing, padding, etc. Unfortunately each theme can have custom classes for the widget area, too.
We try to keep all the GD ‘stuff’ aligned inside the widget area containers, though.
If there is a specific issue please send a link and we will check it out.

First try making your permalinks more complex by adding location to them, or at least resave them:

The Directory map type has the option to display the post type select at the bottom of the map. That is the option that is available.
