I cannot see the frontend edit link, nor find CSS that is hiding it. It is just not being output on the detail page.
How have you or your users been editing listings? I see the admin bar is also hidden.
Do you have any custom code running on the site?

Your upgrade to GDV2 should improve performance, too: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/performance/If you clean out the DB, ok, then the converter will not be needed.
