For what it’s worth, Archive pages can work the same way, but what you usually want to do is have a list of categories, and then the categories added to your menu through the WP Menu settings -> GeoDirectory Place Categories (example)
These links will be updated with the current location automatically, or you could get the ones pointing to your two featured states and hardcode the links into the menu. These are the same links shown in the GD Categories widget.
Geo Travel is a Genesis theme, and is usually customized with Custom CSS.
We can provide you with an example, but, if you have additional needs you will need to write custom CSS or choose a different them that has the options for styles that you are looking for.

Your regions should be there in the URL, no?
So, if you knock off the city, you get the region location page.Then, once you have the URL, you can add a link to it anywhere you like.

Users are not able to edit reviews. To unpublish a review they would need to contact the admin.

When the issue first appeared, it seemed very likely that the WP bug would be fixed by WP, but, now 3 versions later, yes, you are right we ought to at least give folks a pointer about it, as it does not seem it is going away soon-est.
I created a task to look into it further, and thanks again for the feedback.
The developers are considering this for UWP integration with GDV2, but we don’t have a timeline for it at this moment, so it would be a customization.
We have a task for it, though, and when an update is available the developers will post back here.
