Thanks, Stiofan, for very helpful comments. My site will get pretty much ALL of its annual use on June 3, so if we can fix this problem by then it would be great.
I activated CORS but how can I tell if it’s helping? I have noticed GTMetrix analytics warning me that font-awesome is coming without GZIP and the info seems related to the CDN. This font-awesome gzip warning has not changed since I activated CORS. Is there some way I can check that my CDN is OK?
thanks again for your great support

Ha!! Sorry I was obviously just now doing a ton of mods to the site.
I can keep my hands off site admin for the next 2 hours — 1:30pm-3:30pm Boston MA time. Or let me know if you want longer. I’m leaving for lunch break right now
This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private.Hi. I turned off WP Super Cache + Autoptimize and I re-enabled GD Booster. (I changed my user registration form and hope not to see that conflict again.)
I am seeing problems with neighborhoods when I have GD Booster enabled. From https://arlingtonporchfest.org you can see two neighborhoods
https://arlingtonporchfest.org/location/massachusetts/arlington/east-arlington/
(East side of town)
and
https://arlingtonporchfest.org/location/massachusetts/arlington/arlington-heights/
(West side of town)when I clear the cache these neighborhoods display correctly. But if I let the cache do its thing and navigate back and forth between the two neighborhoods, things get screwy very fast. The GD-home map does not reliably show the correct locations. On the other hand, the category check-boxes below the map search bar *do* reliably update. (These are 1:00, 12:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00. We should see 12:00 and 1:00 categories in the Heights (West side) and we should see the later hours in East Arlington; and we do.)
I am using the default settings of GD Booster. (I have a MaxCDN account but I disabled that and it didn’t resolve this.)
Should I open a new ticket for this? thanks for your help
Got it, thanks.
I configured my site with WP Super Cache and Autoptimize but the cache isn’t working correctly. For example:
- Delete cache and then load homepage in a not-logged-in session: https://arlingtonporchfest.org. Everything looks good.
- From same not-logged-in session choose to focus on a neighborhood: https://arlingtonporchfest.org/location/massachusetts/arlington/east-arlington/. this looks good.
- Focus on the other neighborhood: https://arlingtonporchfest.org/location/massachusetts/arlington/arlington-heights/. Still ok.
- Go back to the other neighborhood: https://arlingtonporchfest.org/location/massachusetts/arlington/east-arlington/. The map does not update anymore but stays focused on Arlington Heights, until I delete the cache.
Any thoughts on this? I will try to address the form problem that is preventing me from using GD Booster, but meanwhile I would be grateful for any advice about how I might approach this issue.
Thanks for your support
OK thanks. Yes I got WP Super cache working. Is there any reason you recommend that instead of W3 Total cache? (I had been using W3 Total Cache before I tried GD Booster.)
Thank you
