We tried all sorts of variations but without success. But, apart from finding a solution that does work, the problem is that it affects the listings pages even if it’s removed altogether, so even if we find a way that works to exclude it from the GD side of the site we will have unreadable single listings.
Hi Alex
Thanks for looking at this.
As the code didn’t work I didn’t save it, but I’m almost certain it was based on what I found at https://wpteardown.com/remove-jetpacks-related-post-custom-post-types-cpt/.
As I said, although I didn’t expect the related posts to show on a CPT they did, but the code didn’t work and turning off related post altogether screwed the layout.
Thanks Kiran.

I suppose it was a slightly stupid question!
Hi Kiran
The sitemaps all seem to be correct now, Thank you. What was the issue?
Thanks Kiran, all fine now. Will the ‘patch’ be retained when we next update GD?
John
That’s made me check if ours is still the same, and it is. Open ‘Add’ and scroll down to opening times and it defaults to +1:00.
This reply has been marked as private.I’ve forced a sitemap rebuild but, as I expected, as nothing has changed since the previous sitemap refresh it hasn’t addressed the problems I outlined in my earlier post.
Okay, happy to follow Yoast’s instructions to force a rebuild, but everything non-GD is in the sitemap, and it really doesn’t explain why the empty, no-indexed pages for Hampshire are in the map, and shouldn’t be, or why so much is missing.
But I’ll clear the cache and rebuild the sitemaps later and get back to you.
Definitely more of an issue for you then!
It’s not a huge problem for us as we create all the listings (apart from reminding people to check the time!), but more of an issue I guess for sites allowing visitors to post.
