Changing Places to Persons works. I tried it. But losing the capabilities of linking events to locations might not be a good thing after all. It would be ideal if both linking events to places and linking events to custom posts would be possible.
Another option would be somehow using the BuddyPress profile instead of a custom post for people. But I don’t think it would be possible to include BP profiles into the search.

Just to clarify. I have set up the BuddyPress integration settings. They don’t seem to respond. Also none of the listings have a visible author to begin with.
Is there a way to change the permalinks of the ‘author’ for blogs and listings so they would link to the BuddyPress profile instead of the author page?
