    It looks like I just had to update my WP site url settings to “https://”

    I hadn’t done that yet, because I wanted to test it out first! 🙂

    Thanks –

    I just re-read this thread, and the Avada compatibility document. I see now that I need to:

    1. Replace the GD Avada Child Theme Header with the Avada header
    2. Add the code to the header that is in the document

    When I read this the first time, I just assumed that my site would be dead, since I hadn’t made these changes. It’s running fine as-is, but I’ll make the changes to make sure everything keeps running smoothly.

    Thanks –

    I’m a little confused..

    I’m using the Avada Theme and the GeoDirectory – Avada Starter Child theme.

    I upgraded GD to the latest version, and everything seems to be working fine… Do I still need to follow the instructions here: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/avada-compatibility-header-php/
    or, is the GD – Avada child theme ok?

    Thanks –

    The plus sign is a valid email character, and I use it all the time when registering on web sites.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address

    The local-part of the email address may use any of these ASCII characters.[4] RFC 6531 permits Unicode characters beyond the ASCII range:

    Uppercase and lowercase English letters (a–z, A–Z) (ASCII: 65–90, 97–122)
    Digits 0 to 9 (ASCII: 48–57)
    These special characters: – _ ~ ! $ & ‘ ( ) * + , ; = : and percentile encoding i.e. %20
    Character . (dot, period, full stop) (ASCII: 46) provided that it is not the first or last character, and provided also that it does not appear consecutively (e.g. John..Doe@example.com is not allowed).

    I am having this same issue. Any updates?

    (one update — I am not currently using the Events addon, but it gives me a 404 not found if I try to go to the next page of any Tag listing. It appears to be the same bug mentioned above, but not specifically related to events.)

    Thanks –

    @pix3x – That took a little trial and error to figure out! I think I changed the “Menu” settings in Avada to:
    Main Menu Dropdown Width: 222px

    @pix3x — to get my location changer to look correct, I added the following to my custom CSS:

    dd {
    margin: 0;
    }
    #nav ul li ul li.gd-location-switcher-menu-item {
    float: left;
    }
