Thank you
Ok thanks, just tried that.
When I change location using the switcher and choice one of the locations in the menu I get;
“This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.”
on screen
I have changed location to other options and get the same.
I have attached a snip of the map legend i’m talking about.
I have the map page set as the home page so users can search straight away.
So I have the Google map and the in map legend with a search box above it.
If I type in a location such as Bicester I get no results
if I type in a type / category I get no results
However there is a place in Bicester which is Vegan but I can’t search for it unless I search for its place name.
I know I can do an advanced search I can find it there, I’m trying to make it easier for users to find what they want from that initial map
Hi,
If the users browser does not advise on their location is there a away to default the area visible on the map to a larger area so they can move to a nearby location instead of having a no results message.
Thanks for the head start, if I have any luck i’ll update the post incase others want to know.
going to need it, any hints on which files to start on?
Hi Paolo
Haven’t really done a lot with php or js but always willing to give it a go.
Also still fairly new to WP but as I have found as long as you have a backup you can’t go too wrong.
