Scratch that last comment. Caching issue. Got it back now.
September 9, 2014 at 6:26 pm in reply to: Stripe payment gateway for GD – BETA. Pls download and test #14810Cool, but I upgraded to the new version and now Stripe doesn’t show on the Payments tab in the list of gateways. Stripe plugin is active, but it doesn’t appear in the list.
September 9, 2014 at 6:02 pm in reply to: Different days for events creates different listings #14807Hi Bobby,
I really hope this feature gets consideration. I’ve had several comments from our clients at torontomindbody.org about our “weird” way of displaying event listings. It’s also preventing us from offering “featured” events, since a one week conference (for example) displays as 7 separate events at the top of the listings. I’ve reviewed a number of different systems and this is the only one I’ve encountered that insists on displaying a unique listing for every day of an event.
Cheers,

Pls download and test #14599I just received the following payment notification from the GD Payment Manager plugin:
————————————————–
Payment Details for Listing ID #
————————————————–
Listing Title:
————————————————–
Trans ID: evt_4jkHxY9ZYKWQBI
Status: transfer.created
Amount: CAD
Type: single payment
Date: 2014-09-08 01:17:26
Method: Stripe
————————————————–
Information Submitted URL
————————————————–I checked the site, however, and no listing was posted. Then I checked the stripe event log and there’s an entry with the same transaction ID, but it’s for a bank transfer.
It seems that the GD Stripe plugin is confusing bank transfers for customer payments.

As you can imagine, a smooth payment workflow is critical. Our user base is generally non-technical, so they make great usability testers. 😉

I get that the GD folks outsourced Stripe integration to you, but I’m guessing they can also see this thread. 🙂
It would be great if you could work together on a better payment interface for this. I had yet another message from a confused customer today, so this is definitely a problem for our users.
September 5, 2014 at 1:08 am in reply to: Stripe payment gateway for GD – BETA. Pls download and test #14352Hi Daniele,
I mentioned in a previous comment that the payment options should be hidden if there is only one option available. I wish this request made it into the release, because now I’m getting questions from customers and loosing sales as a result of the confusing interface.
I received the following message today from a loyal customer:
“So I’ve gone through the process to create a new listing for Monica’s Morning Breathing and Mediation Intensive but when I checked off the credit card option and clicked on save/pay (I can’t remember the exact term on your site), it didn’t take me to any page to enter credit card details. I was taken to a blank page. What now? Where is one suppose to land when you want to pay to complete a listing?”
The review page interface is confusing: the expected behaviour is that the user will select a payment option and click the submit button. The actual behaviour is that the user selects the Stripe payment option and the pop up payment form is called automatically. This is not what users expect when they select a radio button option.
If the user clicks the submit button without selecting a payment option, the payment workflow breaks, the user is confused and I lose a sale.
If the radio button is clicked, it should simply select the Stripe payment option. If only one payment option is available, it should be selected by default and hidden from the interface. The pop up payment form should appear when the user clicks the submit button. This would be a much more common and intuitive interface.
Can this be fixed?

Posting Canceled
Your listing is cancelled. Sorry for cancellation.
Thank you for visiting us at Toronto Mind Body.September 3, 2014 at 4:29 am in reply to: Stripe payment gateway for GD – BETA. Pls download and test #14112Thanks for the great work on this, Daniele, and for getting it out on schedule. Just in time to make our deadline on torontomindbody.org!
We’ve got it running in production and transactions are passing without issue. Subscriptions didn’t work in the test environment but we didn’t have time to troubleshoot. Really need subscriptions!
Also, I noticed that you’re loading checkout.js on every page. Would it be possible to call this script asynchronously or only when required? As is, it adds about ~1 second of render blocking page load time!
I can confirm that this is still an issue. I updated a listing and noticed that the featured image was broken/missing, so I re-uploaded the image from the front-end and moved it to the left to make it featured. Just a moment ago I checked the listing and noticed that now all the other images (except the featured images) are broken/missing. Then I noticed that the broken image URL’s are all all pointing to “example.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/example.jpg”.
Here’s the thing: that image was uploaded in June, not September, so the path should have been /wp-content/uploads/2014/06/, not /wp-content/uploads/2014/09/. When I uploaded the new featured image, it appears that the path for all images was modified. If that’s the case, then anyone who edits their listing to add a new image will break all the others if the change doesn’t occur in the same month. Yikes!
September 1, 2014 at 4:41 pm in reply to: Stripe payment gateway for GD – BETA. Pls download and test #13954Hi Daniele. Is this module on track to be released today? We’ve already publicized to our clients that we will start charging for listings as of today (http://torontomindbody.org/free-event-listings-end-monday/).
