It is impossible to look at coding by viewing an image only. Can we have a URL please?
That is not possible. All I can think of is to create a custom HTML field where you can add details like that.
What is your post name?
I was expecting /places/feed to work, but it does not.Can you post your admin details please.
PS: I don’t think you can do it per category, only per custom post type.
I alerted the developers for you, I am sure you will hear from them soon.
October 27, 2015 at 11:06 pm in reply to: Can I use default WP search box for searching in the directory #58213Just add the normal WP search widget to any of your pages.
It will search your listings too, but the results page will be your WP page, not the GD search results page.Your browser remembers your previous answer about geolocation.
Have a look at the link i posted above, you need to clear your browser settings to force your browser to forget.
I get the same results as Paolo.Have a look at this article:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/how-to-use-gd-without-street-addresses/
Let us know how you went. You should be able to use something like this I think (cannot test myself for the moment):
/feed/?post_type=gd_place
Let us know if that works. You have a plugin that conflicts with GD.
Turn off you non-GD plugins one by one, and keep checking if it fixes itself.
Let us know how you went, and if still stuck, you can post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look for you.You can delete the old MO file if you like.
It’s best to export and then re-import, that way you don’t create duplicate listings.
The fact that the new listings are all going in your default location, suggests that the coordinates were wrong.
Can you post your WP admin details and your URL in a private reply, so we can have a look at your setup. And attach the copy of the CSV file too, if you don’t mind. All good, you’re not the first one 🙂
And you will not be the last one!
I’ll set this as resolved, let us know if you have any more issues. You had hidden all listings from the map at GD > design > SHOW / HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP
You need to allow users to comment at WP > settings > discussion > Allow people to post comments on new articles
You will need to bulk edit your imported listings to allow comments too, the change in settings is not retrospective.Yes, you can use Google maps, but it just is not possible for a map to display something if it does not know where it is. So if you want to use the map, you need to tell it the coordinates, there’s just no other way.
If you want a generic location, it still needs coordinates, even if it for the main street.
Add a few listings in the backend, by dragging the marker to a generic location, then change the street address, and save the listing. Then export your CSV, you’ll see how it works. -
