I think you want to add Popular Categories to GD HOME TOP section and Popular Post View to GD HOME CONTENT section. You can add more than one Popular Post View widget if you like, it seems you already have in the CONTENT section and the RIGHT SIDEBAR section.
Just have a go to see what happens, you cannot do anything wrong with adding widgets.Let us know if there is anything else. Cheers.
To customize that page you have to adjust the widgets you add to the GD Home sections.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#typicalI hope I understood you correctly.
You can customise the /location/Doncaster page by customizing the widgets at GD HOME sections.
You can go to GD > Multilocation > Location settings tab > Home Page Results
and choose “Show default location results on home page (First time only, if geodirectory home page is your site home page and user comes to home page).”
Make sure DOncaster is set as your default location. You will have to delete all cookies etc to see it work.
The other alternative is to create a normal wordpress page and make that your homepage instead of a GD page. Then I don’t understand what you are asking …
Will posting your URL and admin details help? But I still do not understand what you are trying to achieve …To turn on Geolocation, go to
GD > Advanced Search > and choose your settings at “GEOLOCATION SETTINGS”
That cannot be achieved with a shortcode. You can set up geolocation for that at GD > Advanced Search (addon).
But without the switcher your visitors might not realise they are in a restricted area, and they will need the switcher to navigate to any other location.Have you added the Location Switcher to your menu? That will link to all your locations and automatically list all listings for that location:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multilocations/#mainI think there are quite a few plugins for that (promoting your own FB page):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=facebook+like+pageIf you are using Buddypress you can use the GD Buddypress compability addon to merge the GD author page and the Buddypress profile page:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/buddypress-integration/Either because you do not have a listing created, or you have not set your links correctly at GD > design > navigation
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#userlinksThe [#comments#] should only be the comments posted by a visitor.
You can adjust the email at GD > notifications > other emails
You can replace [#listing_link#] with any HTML you like.I hope I understand you correctly …
But I agree that [#listing_link#] should link to the homepage URL, not the folder where WP is installed. I’ll let the developers know too.
When you add the GD Login widget, the links to the author page will automatically be added.
Good luck with your site.
Personally, I do not directly see too much difference between having to choose a package or a category (or a CPT for that matter).
Also, the Add listing page needs to reload to change the available custom fields and that is possible with changing price package but not with changing category.See you around 🙂
Looks like you got the hang of it.
For example, you cannot add a Roller Surface Field if you submit a Ice rink listing.
The choice is really yours, whether you want to use CPTs to do that or you want to do it by restricting price packages.
The advantage of the latter is that they all can be on the same map, which is where we started. -
