Admin is treated as user, so admin can link events to any place that is “owned” by admin.
Yes:
1. Events can be linked to places if the user submitting the listing and the event are the same.
2. Works only for the default Custom post type (Places).
3. You need to set in price package for Events: Link business? > Yes.
4. Now when a user who already has a place wants to add an event, he will be able to choose the place, and some of the fields will be auto-populated, for example address and description. They can then be adjusted.
5. A link will be placed on the event detail page to the place detail page.I’ll get Paolo to have a look for you.
Can you post your admin details please. This reply has been marked as private.April 3, 2015 at 1:09 am in reply to: Format of my search widget is different depending on the page i am on #36039Try adding this to your CSS:

I would think this is more a control panel setup problem.
You have your site setup as a subdomain instead of an add-on domain it seems.
Can you post your control panel details and WP admin details?April 2, 2015 at 11:43 pm in reply to: I have an image file loading on gd virtual homepage that is not in media file #36032Bob, you have to go to Companies > Place categories and delete the call to the default images there.
Your category setup is still looking for the image, but you deleted it from the media.
There is nothing like a virtual GD homepage, only a GD virtual page that is used for all locations, and the homepage of your directory. Do NOT delete any virtual pages.
If you want to create another homepage, just create a normal WP page and change your settings at GD > design > home and WP > Settings > Reading. All you need to do is to create a button that links to your-site/location [your-site/directory/ in your case].
Maybe there is a way to add something to your functions file that allows you to add such a button to your search widget area, I’ll leave that to Paolo.I guess you stepped through all this:
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/social-importer-addon/If your users can pull data from their FB into your GD site, then your app should be set up correctly there.
Have you selected your FB page at GD > Social Importer > FB > Post to page ?There is no specific sub-forum for Social Importer (yet?).
You can exclude categories in your price packages.
Thanks for letting us know. It seems it is all fixed then.
3. GD > Theme compatibility > Select theme > Enfold > Save changes
s2member looks complicated, but what you are trying to implement only uses a very small part of its capabilities, so should not be that difficult to implement.
You will have to disable GD’s login, see here for more details:
