Events can only be linked to Places (I just tested it).
There might be a possibility to change that to another CPT or you could rename Places to Persons.
I’ll get Paolo to look at your question too.March 9, 2015 at 10:51 am in reply to: "Post submit success to client email" contains incorrect link #33367Are you using the latest version 1.3.9?
That should be fixed in that version, I just tested it too.Sorry, but we only provide support for GD products, and consider that CSS is outside that support; that is normal website design.
We are usually happy to give you a quick pointer if you have a specific question, like “why does that not line up?”, but cannot give free webdesign support.I hope you understand.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support-policy/You cannot use two themes at the same time, so you will have to pick one.
Any customisations and css tweaks will be lost when you change themes, together with most of your widgets.
And don’t forget to use a child theme: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_ThemesAnd here is the link again if you want to do some style changes.
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/customizing-your-style/GD Listings pages are automatically created from your Place (ot other CPT) categories.
To add pictures etc, use the “top description” of the category: GD > Place category > edit > category top description.
Listings pages are virtual pages, as in they are not real pages as in the WP sense.
They are created from the GD Listings template you modify at GD > design > listings and by adding widgets.
You cannot copy and create new listings page, but you change the coding of the template if you want to (but I don’t think that is what you are looking for): http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/customizing-geodirectory-templates/For the menu, you can also tick “Place categories” in “screen options” at Appearance > Menus, and then you will be get a list on the left hand side you can pick from, a bit like this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Screen-shot-2014-10-02-at-10.47.10-PM.jpg
I’ll get Paolo to look at this for you.
I doubt very much that you can, because that would move it outside the submission form.
Until a GD listing is saved in the database, you normally should get a 404 if you want to preview, because until it is saved it cannot make all the connections in the database that a GD listing needs. (a normal WP post does not need those connections).
What I get in my test sites is a 404, not something that tells me I have no permission.
It looks like your admin details have changed so I could not test the Preview of a normal WP post, but it seems it might be a session issue like your other issue.Paolo might be able to shed more light on this.
Same in mine running GDF and GD, and even when not running GDF and GD.
You might wanna look at something like this:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/Not my strong point this.
That is a WP issue.
I think editor can change other people’s posts, and authors can only edit their own post.
For GD posts, even subscribers can edit their GD post.
http://www.wpwhitesecurity.com/wordpress-security/wordpress-user-roles-wordpress-security/That’s fine Marsha. I don’t mind a refresher course once in a while 🙂
And don’t make your questions in the future too difficult! What about the Popular Post Category widget? You could add a dummy listing like: Be the first to list in this category.
The only other alternative is like you say, manually code everything. If you go to GD > Social importer > facebook > refresh token, you get this error:
App Not Set Up: The developers of this app have not set it up properly for Facebook Login.Let us know if the server tweak as suggested in your other topic sorts this too.
I could not find a draft listing in your admin, so have not tested until you let us know this is still a problem. -
