How do you update?

Do you mean that you want a link to a particular map in your menu? In that case, link to the relevant location or listings page?
Not too sure what you mean with “add the other map as a menu item”.That is most likely something to do with one of your plugins or theme, that is not how it is working for a normal GD installation, review the demo @ http://wpgeo.directory/ to see how things are supposed to work.
