What plugin is not compatible with what?
I think they mean that GoDaddy is not compatible with the GD plugin, because the way GD relies on php sessions. GoDaddy thinks that every WP site is a site just with plain posts and pages, rather than dynamically created pages.
The only way to fix it is move somewhere else, or move to GoDaddy’s normal hosting as per post: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/multilocations-download/page/2/#post-18231I’ll wait for Stiofan’s or Paolo’s comments too.
Does not look right to me 🙁
Look at GD > GD Tools > Database table check.
GoDaddy keeps creating Locations_ms_bak tables, and there is no point deleting them in the database; they just get recreated, with the result that your locations disappear.Ah, good old Safari – always trouble 🙂
I’ll get Stiofan to look at this. What browser are you using?
It looks fine for me in IE, FF and Chrome.
Have you cleared all caches? It is probably validating for a maximum 3 character extension, so will not accommodate .info, .travel, .directory etc.
I’ll get Stiofan to look at that.Try going back to Sahifa then? It sounds quite unlikely, but that would be the only way to find out.
January 2, 2015 at 9:39 am in reply to: Is there a way to NOT show local results on the homepage? #26038Create a non-GD page, a normal WP page.
Then add widgets to it like Popular Places or Events, but do not filter for location, so your homepage will always show listings from everywhere. For example see here: http://www.2cv.com.au/
Even when you choose any city from the switcher and go back to the homepage, the popular posts and events stay the same (the map does filter because that map does not the option “Enable Location Filter:” – it always filters.Hope I make a bit more sense now?
Admin details please as usual, then I’ll get Stiofan to look at that.
And the account is not an administrator account 🙁 – that is probably why it did not allow me to login while in maintenance mode.
I can’t really look at the settings like that, but I am wondering how you are hiding the categories.
This is definitely something specific to your site.January 2, 2015 at 3:50 am in reply to: Calendar Widget and Latest Places Not Fitting in Divi Sidebar #26028Add the following to your CSS:
.no_event {padding: 2px !important;} .event_highlight {background: #66ccff !important; padding: 2px !important;} #geodir_event_calendar table td {padding: 5px; border: 1px solid #bbb !important;} .geodir_event_listing_calendar {padding: 5px}And adjust as necessary.
I am not sure where you set the pixel sizes in Divi but you could increase/decrease your columns sizes and margins.
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/customizing-your-style/You can just add a text widget to the bottom section of the GD Listing template in Appearances > widgets. That would then appear on every CPT and category page.
You can do what you want on a per category basis, but it seems you are not using categories or at least hiding them.
You can for each different category add a “Category Top Description” that can be different for each category.
WP admin > Place (CPT) categories > edit > Category Top DescriptionI guess it should be possible to add the CPT’s “Meta Description” somewhere on the page instead of on the head only.
GD > CPT > Edit > Meta DescriptionThe template for that would be indeed listing-listview.php but let’s check with Paolo.
URL and admin details please.
I guess you have used the Advance Search addon and set up a search to filter by categories?Maintenance mode does not allow me to login to your admin area. 🙁
January 2, 2015 at 1:16 am in reply to: Subscriber: Add-Ons Upgrades Throwing Site Into Disarray #26022The Autocompleter is obsolete now, you should just delete that one.
It has been integrated into the Advanced Search addon. -
