Every location should have its own URL like
http://wpgeo.directory/location/united-states/illinois/chicago/
http://wpgeo.directory/location/united-states/
http://wpgeo.directory/location/united-states/illinoisAnd each of these pages indicates the preferred URL like this:
<link rel=’canonical’ href=’http://wpgeo.directory/location/whatever-place-you-are/’ />Am I misunderstanding?
How did you get those tags there?
If I add tags the normal way, ie in the listing update, either backend or frontend, they work fine.
Have a look now at
http://up-side.it/places/tags/italy/abruzzo/pescara/audacious-freedom/
and
http://up-side.it/places/italy/abruzzo/pescara/restaurants/morimoto/1. Not possible without customisation.
2. Not possible. WP has different user types, like administrator, author, subscriber etc. That is not relevant for GD, but is mainly to give different types of access to the admin area.
3. Not for the moment.
4. WP > settings > general > time format
I am not too sure whether that format will be used everywhere, let us know.5. This should give you a start: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/removing-the-share-buttons-from-listing-sidebar/
To add tabs, look here: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-place-settings/#custom
Look for “Show as a tab on Detail page?”Let us know how you went.
Not that simple, because you will need to update a few different tables.
Only thing I can think of is to delete all your listings and re-upload them using the CSV upload. But that might be simpler said than done depending on what you have customised so far.
Let’s ask Paolo too. This reply has been marked as private.I changed your permalinks to “Add full location info with country, region and city slug in listing urls” at GD > permalinks >
You cannot add shortcodes in the custom field entries.
Like I said: You cannot just change the color of the background for one type of page only.
“Is there a way to change the way picture are displayed?”
There is a way for everything, but that requires customization.“I don’t have cache, I try with wordfence deactivated but still region bring to default city”
The reason you could not navigate to the region or country was because you had this setting : GD > permalinks > Add city slug in listing urls
That is only a valid setting if you only use one region and one country. You can remove tabs at GD > design > detail > Exclude selected tabs from detail page.
To add tabs, look here: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-place-settings/#custom
Look for “Show as a tab on Detail page?”Please do not use private messages unless you need to keep something private. Other users might want to learn from our discussion.
It shows alright for me (on the second page of search results).
Are you using multilocation? It seems you deleted your add-listing page: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/how-to-restore-virtual-gd-pages/
When using bbpress and/or buddypress, you should redirect your login page:
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/redirecting-the-login-page/Everything discussed by Edgar is fixed in the next release as far as I know, which is intended to be available sometime this coming week.
Just clarifying Paolo’s comment:
The everywhere feature is part of the multilocation addon.
You are talking about the share location addon. You have to add the switcher to your menu, and you’ll see the difference.
GD > design > navigation > add links to main menu
GD > multilocation > add switcher to menu.To use bbPress and BuddyPress you need to use the BuddyPress login and registration: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/redirecting-the-login-page/
Your GD pages should not be affected by bbpress or buddypress.
Have you looked at this: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/how-to-build-your-own-theme-compatibility-plugin/
If you get stuck, post your WP admin details in a private message, so we can have a quick look at your settings.
Make sure to tick what you want in the “screen options” for that page (top right corner).
