I’ll get Paolo or Stiofan to look at this.
If you post your WP admin details, they can have a look if need be.You can just post in a private message here.
But the difference between the 2 images is that the one is using the Home/location template, and the other one is using the Listings template.
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/layout/@thebirdiemachine
That is only available in Custom Post Type settings, not in the free version.
But thanks for showing it, it was actually an improvement in the latest version that I’d forgotten about.-Will the advanced search form automatically be displayed? On the demo it looks like some categories have a custom search and others don’t.
No, you have to organise the advanced search at GD > Place Settings.
If there is no custom fields added it will not display.
You are confusing categories with custom post types: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/places-categories-and-listings/Can I search near a location instead of a title as it is now?
The NEAR field allows you to search near a location …– Can I have 4 main categories of which two of them will have some sub categories? Will that work without purchasing Custom Type Post plugin?
Yes, you can: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/places-categories-and-listings/– Are those custom post types in the drop down menu on the demo? Or are those the main categories?
They are custom post types.3. It looks like you removed the standard rating system, see attached image from the demo site: http://wpgeo.directory/location/
That sort setting will display a listing with more stars before another listing in any search.5. You can add the filenames to a CSV file and upload them using FTP:
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csv6. You are not wrong, but it defeats the purpose of a dynamic map a bit 🙂 but that is my opinion.
8. Probably not. Every plugin uses different setups in databases, but what you can do is create a CSV file as per http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csv and go and find the relevant entries you need in the database, but they might be in different tables etc.
That would be in the translation file.

Because you have customised the form to stay always open. I think Paolo can explain that better, but in the meantime, use the normal advanced filter without customisation and see how that works.
2. Appearance > widgets > GD Home section > GD home map > collapse categories
For one location only, you do not need a paid addon. But for more than one location you do need the paid addon.
You had restricted your locations to the default region only; I changed it.
You also still have incorrect locations, read this article:
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/faq/how-do-i-merge-locations/
You need to wait for the Google API to set a location after you click “set on map” before saving, or you will keep creating bad locations. You also are using Avada without the Avada compatibility plugin; I installed it for you.
Thanks for letting us know 🙂
I think Simone means
Appearance > GD Home > GD map home page widget > map auto zoom > No and also choose your map zoom level. This will also use all these settings for every location page.
Can you give us a URL and admin details in a private message, please.

.widget li a {padding: inherit;}Your post got missed because you added your post to somebody else’s topic. Sorry about the delay.
Hiding all post types and categories on the map at GD > DESIGN > MAP will disable all maps.
GeoDirectory allows you to create a local directory based on a single location such as a street, a neighbourhood, a city or a greater area, but a multi-locations addon is available: https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/multilocation/
You did hide all Places from the map at
GD > DESIGN > MAPYou also have to add the map widgets to your pages.
