And to customize GDF you should go to GDF options, not to Appearance. The link from the dashboard or the login widget will never go to another user’s dashboard, only to yours.
And even if I like everything, how would you get a link to that unless you are an admin?Hi Rita,
Very similar things can be achieved by a thoughtful use of the GD widgets, and using a theme with similar styling or adjust the theme you are using.
Once you have organised custom post types, categories and a few listings, you can start playing with the widgets and CSS to get your own look and feel. The idea is to show other users favorites and submissions, but only the user can edit their listings.
There is no link to this page unless you add it.Must have been inspired by Facebook for generation Share, but at least with GD you can choose not to provide a link to this page.
The page you are looking at is the page that shows the favorites of a particular user. It is available for all to see.
For example, this is my favorites
2RjoQaU5bp0N2RjoQaU5bp0N2RjoQaU5bp0Nhttp://www.eatlocalnky.com/author/guust/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place&list=favouriteJust untick the Need to visit and it will disappear.
I think you added it to your favourites by clicking on the Need to visit link, which is the renamed Favorite link.
If you rename Favorites to Need to Visit, then you should rename the Favorite category in a similar fashion. The string is not just “logged in as”, the string is the full one as I posted above. And yes, it is in the main WP language file.
The message “You can upload 0 images with this package” is only in your admin area, your users get a different message.
Out of my league, but the only thing I can think of is that you must have a computer that is running non-standard settings somehow.
Have you tried yourself to look at your sites on another computer?“I’m happy to send over the link and passwords in a private message.”
I think you might have to do that.
Have you tried with the protection off?
Is the listing added to a category, and does it have an address?Vikas, it works fine now on my Android tablet. Thanks.
Thanks for letting us know; we’ll just have to add this to the list of life’s little mysteries 🙂
I’ll set this to resolved …Just looked at your video. I wonder whether you’d have that behaviour on a clean install?
Not too sure what you’re asking.
If you want to style the GD pages, you would just add the relevant CSS to your (child) theme’s style.css files.
That will not get changed by any updates. Can you clarify your question? Thanks.
