1. All members should only be subscribers
1.1. You should ‘let anyone register’ if you want anybody to be able to add their details.
If you want to restrict to people who have become a member some other way, then you can turn that setting off. Then you add members manually as subscribers before they can add their details.
2. Either way, your members need to be able to login.
You can add the GD login widget to every page (which you have done already for some pages).
Removing the Add Listing from the main menu will mean they have to login before they can add, or edit a listing.
Then you can remove the “New User? Register Now” link on the widget, and nobody will ever see the “default login page”.Or if you want members to register themselves, you will need the /?geodir_signup=true&page1=sign_up page, which you can adjust with some CSS styling if you don’t like the looks.
Hi nasc, that is the correct behaviour, a member has to be logged in to create a listing. This creates a WP subscriber role which is necessary for their listing to be created.
Without them having a login they can never update anything, can they?Let me put this one back on the agenda to be fixed in the next release.
Thanks for letting us know you fixed it.
Can you go to the Special offers custom field and set “show on detail page” to NO?
I’ll ask Vikas to have a look at this again, can you provide wp admin credentials in a private reply to this topic?
Hi Chintia, I think you have to redo your PO and MO files, the update has new language strings.
All Places: you might have to change “Places” in GD > custom post types > choose the Places > change all labels as required
June 20, 2014 at 11:16 pm in reply to: Option to enable change adress by draging the PIN on map #5334Hi Roger, I thought that was standard behaviour.
You do not have to specify your address if you don’t want, you can just drag the pin and it will fill in your address.
Just amend the front-end description text in the address field from “Please enter listing address. eg. : 230 Vine Street” to “You can either enter your address and Click to set Address, or you can just drag the marker to the address.”Let me know if I misunderstood.
Hi PSI, I asked Vikas to have a look.
Hi Sally.
1. I updated GD core and location manager to the latest version.
2. You are using your footer menu for all GD links like Add listing etc.
3. You really should move them to the main menu in the header.
4. You are running more than one directory plugin.
5. The reason your listings disappear, is because your multi-location settings I think. You can now find the switcher in your footer (because your navigation settings that ask to put all GD links in the footer menu).
6. There seems to be some real conflicts between plugins, I suggest to consider what you want from your site and trim to the minimum and the best plugins.
7. Then we can see what problems remain. Can we have a look at the site? And your WP admin login details?
You can post them in a private message.Hi Aleksandra.
Can you give us a URL with the page you want us to look at.
You can make your post private if you like.
I might also need your WP admin login details.Child theme was not activated.
You had no menus created.
WP permalinks have to be set to “postname”.
The Geolocator will take you to the town that is in the database and that is closest to you.Let me know if there is anything else.
This reply has been marked as private. You got multi-locations enabled?
You only seem to have listings in one location?
Have you set up an admin with the same login details? -
