You can only save listings to a GD list.
There are plugins available that allow visitors to subscribe to receive regular updates of new listings in the category of their choice.

Adding extra custom fields can never be found using the NEAR search.
You will need the Advanced Search addon for that.

The GD Archive Item page is a template to add content to other pages, it is not a page that is used anywhere, I am guessing you are trying to look at …/gd-archive-item/4. Make sure the shortcode on that page uses list view, instead of grid view
