I have alerted the developers to have a look.
Just to clarify, for WP and GD purposes, only one user can “own” and manage/edit a listing; it is not possible for author 1 and author 2 to edit the same listing.
But with franchises, author 1 who owns the main listing, can lock some fields so any “owners” of franchises cannot edit these, and if those custom fields are updated in the main listing, they are updated in all franchises too, even if no longer “owned” by the same user.You’re welcome.

You seem to have a “bad” listing in that state.
If you toggle the categories, the map starts working.
Try editing and re-saving the listings in that state to try to find the error.

ThanksI can confirm, after testing, that author 1 can add a main listing, and then add a franchise 1. So far, totally normal.
But when the franchise 1 is set to unclaimed, author 2 can claim the listing, for example the manager or owner of the franchise.
Result: main listing is “owned” by author 1, and franchise 1 is “owned” by author 2.
Now author 2, who only “owns” franchise 1 can actually add franchise 2, which will be a franchise of the main listing.It is correct that franchise 1 should be able to be claimed by a different owner of the main listing. But a franchise owner should not be able to add franchises, that should be restricted to the main listing owner.
