Both have different options, and you can use both with the same keys.
Just review the options after installation. For the two themes, Sydney and Virtue, neither have the option in the page attributes to select Geodirectory as a template.
There is no need for that, just select default or whatever your theme provides. GD V2 uses your theme’s templates. If the case, are you saying to create a widget area?
No, just use the normal sidebar you use for your theme. If so and to avoid coding, I have used a plugin Custom Sidebars to create a widget area. I have called this GD Sidebar. I have selected this as a sidebar on the GD Details page.
There is no need for that.I turned off the GD Sidebar you created, and added to new widgets to the theme sidebar: GD Author Actions and GD Output Location.
Have another look at this link: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/#sidebar-widgets
Let us know.
When I tested the login I was sent to the /profile/ page.
GD V2 does not redirect logins.
It looks like your system is to set to redirect to the last page visited before logging in, but that would not be because of GD.You’re welcome
Correct, GD Booster is only for V1.
In V2 we recommend Super Cache.
ThanksMake sure to add your license to the theme, so you will be notified of future updates.
Cheers 🙂
You can export all the listings you have and merge with the new CSV. Then you can look for your duplicates before reimporting, using the LibreOffice tools you suggested.
If you have a duplicate, delete one of the two but keep the post ID in the first column.
Then upload and choose to overwrite existing post IDs.Thanks
January 22, 2019 at 2:06 pm in reply to: Ok so burning up hrs I cant find any other theme thats works #464680I have done a few sites with Genesis and V2 now without any issues.
Quite a few people use Avada, Divi etc without any problem either. With the new WP Block builder, there is hardly any need for Beaver Builder and I find it a lot simpler using the WP Blocks instead of Beaver Builder, but that may just be me.
If you pick your theme, use the GD setup wizard, then all should work without any problems.
Then you start customizing if that is what you require. If you want us to have a quick look, post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply.
Thanks
You are not using GD registration but UsersWP registration.
Add the UsersWP reCaptcha: https://userswp.io/downloads/recaptcha/Thanks
Have a look at your Places custom fields, and add the “Business Hours” from the left to the right.
Make sure to add it to the listings page.Every caching plugin would have that problem to some extent. You basically lock in the cache if you de-activate before clearing the cache.
GD booster was de-activated before emptying the cache. So everything was still stuck in the cache.
We re-enabled booster plugin > disabled cache > cleared cache > disabled plugin. Please check now. Let us know.
This reply has been marked as private.I just tested and it seems that the GD child themes for Genesis work for both V1 and V2.
Let us know if there are any issues with it.
