Make sure you remove the field from the frontend by selecting nothing at “Show in what locations?” if you do not want your users to see the custom fields.
The only solution I can think of, is for a manual extension of the listing in such a case. I’ll get the developers to have a look at your question too.

The sorting will work on the CPT page generated by GD, not on a normal WP page.

The only way I can see this work without customization is to
1. set the price of a listing at 1 million dollars or something like that
2. Create a 100% discount code that can only be used once by each user.But nothing can stop people creating multiple user accounts …

I think a reminder would be sent because the listing will “expire” and will be “downgraded” to the same price package. But I will get Kiran to confirm after the weekend.
