What do you mean with ” I don’t have a dedicated page on Dormansland”. https://discover.englandsbestplaces.co.uk/location/surrey/dormansland/ is the dedicated Dormansland page, and you can anything to that page you like.
If you want to add Dormansland into the their SEO Title, Slug and Meta description, have a look at GD > Metas and Titles: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-core-plugin-titles-metas/
This will also be useful: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/location-manager-widgets/#desc
If you would change the setting at
GD > Permalinks > Add location in urls > yes >
then you would have location specific Listings pages too like https://discover.englandsbestplaces.co.uk/south-east-england/surrey/dormansland/Thanks
1. The post_date is in the wrong format. It can be left blank.
2. You have moved the position of the geodir_video column. You now have two geodir_video columns. Delete the incorrect column.
I imported the first listing of the CSV successfully after fixing those errors.
Let us know how you went. Thanks
I don’t understand …
That is how WordPress works. Any other user can do what a subscriber can, the next level is author and anyone with a higher level can do what an author can etc.
What is the security problem you have? What are you worried about?
Post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply if there is anything we should look at.
ThanksJanuary 31, 2018 at 12:38 pm in reply to: Allow subscribers to link their listing to gd_place post type #415139Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/linking-custom-post-types/
Let us know how you went. Thanks
You will need the Custom Google Map addon for that:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/custom-google-maps/
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/custom-google-maps/It requires more than the part of the script you added.
Thanks
Often the Google API cannot find the address you expect, because it uses a different address formula.
In those cases, you just drag the marker to the correct spot, and then change the Street address field to suit.
Importing using a CSV file, does not use the Google API at all, that is why you need to add lat and lng in the import file to put things on the map correctly.Let us know how you go.
You can change the “location” slug to anything you like.
But the location pages are location specific.
So I would suggest you are better of to rename your CPT from /south-east-england/ to /things-to-do/
That would also change your detail pages to /things-to-do/pubs-and-bars-1/griffin-inn-fletching/ etcI was able to add a place from both the frontend and backend and both times the map worked correctly.
Let us know if you still have problems, and exactly how we can recreate the problem. Thanks
Geolocation can only redirect to the location page.
I suggest you add the “GD > Near Me Button” widget wherever you like and on the Location and Listings pages, add the Popular Categories widget, and it will link to the visitor’s most Listings pages closest to them. Thanks
Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will show you what settings to use for the widgets etc. Thanks
You still need to add the theme licence at Appearance > Theme licence.
I have not spotted any other errors.
Thanks
This reply has been marked as private. You should not run 2 caching plugins, I turned the Bluehost one off, and left GD Booster on.
I corrected your WP permalinks settings as per https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#postnames
Fixed your GD Permalinks, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home
You still should add your licences for your plugins and theme to make sure you do not miss updates.
Please check and let us know.
Everything worked fine because the code in the video field did not contain reference to an iframe.
Please see images for the iframe we are talking about, both are screenshots from your site, and the Listing Preview page results in a 403.
Try importing our Facebook page if you want to check the error out again: https://www.facebook.com/GeoDirectory-287065118123358/
Thanks
Please check the admin details, I get “Invalid Username/Password”.
It sounds like you just are forgetting to click” set on Map” to calculate the lat and lng, but we’ll check for you. -
