To keep users “locked” into their location, when going to the homepage, change this setting:
GD > Multilocations > Location Settings tab > Home page should go to > Current location page (ex: mysite.com/location/glasgow/)
I changed it for you.
See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multilocations/#locationAnything else is outside support. Thanks
Export the listings, move the content of the geodir_email column to your new column, and re-import.
Thanks. You can add an email custom field to replace the default custom field.
ThanksHi Steve, please post your WP admin details. Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂
2 + 3. PHONE_NO and WEBSITE are not valid column names, so the data cannot be imported.
The correct column names are geodir_contact and geodir_website
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#important
Have a look at Places in the backend, there are no listings with phone numbers or websites.10. The gap is because the category “Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers” wraps to a new line, creating a gap for all categories on that line. Try shortening the category name.
Thanks
1. I changed your WP Permalinks: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#postnames
2. If a phone is added, they will show in the sidebar of the Detail page and the map bubble [as per your current settings].
I cannot find any listings with a phone added.
See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#show3. If a website URL is added, they will show in the sidebar of the Detail page [as per your current settings].
I cannot find any listings with a website added.4. There is no way to not show a space for images on the Listings and Search pages, but you can add a default image at GD > Design > Listings tab > Upload listing no image
5. You can remove your GD Dashboard widgets from all sections at Appearance > Widgets
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory6. You can also disallow adding listings etc, look at GD > Design > Navigation
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation7. And/or disallow registration at WP Settings > General > Anyone can register.
8. Categories titles look duplicated because you have not added any icons for any of your categories at Places > Place Categories
9. Added some CSS at GD > Design > Scripts
Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂
Sorry, did not realise you were talking about a widget. I am guessing you mean the “GD > Event Listing” widget. Did you set it to “upcoming”?
Make sure to set GD > Event Settings > General tab > Default event filter > Upcoming.
ThanksJust rename the GD Home page slug to “guide”. See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#intro
In the Pages section of your WP admin dashboard, you can change the title and the slug of the page.
Thanks
Browse to their author or dashboard page, and they will all be listed there.
With the Listing Claims addon, you can add a link to their dashboard from each listing.
There is no addon that limits the number of listings a user can add.See an example here, look in the sidebar for the link to the author: https://wpgeo.directory/docs/places/united-states/pennsylvania/philadelphia/hotels/philadelphia-marriott-downtown/
Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂
On location pages, the listings are displayed by the Popular Post widget. Select “sort by” > Random.
Let us know how you went.
ThanksPlease compare the code in your theme’s functions.php file of your staging site with the code in your live site. You’ll see the difference.
Thanks
