Are you allowing frontend submissions of events at GD > Design > Navigation?
ThanksIf you want to add the details of the listing yourself, just add them to the backend as an admin, in any existing price package that has all the options.
If you want the details to be added by the customers, the easiest is to create a 100% discount coupon for the listing package you want them to have for free.
If this is a special CPT, then you can just choose not to allow them to be added from the frontend [GD > design > navigation].
And lastly, you can create a new package, and not make it available in the Add Listing page by hiding the option to select it.
Then only if you have the direct link to the price package, you can add the listing.
Eg: yoursite.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place&package_id=4Hopefully, one of these options suits 🙂
I am guessing you have not selected any of the custom fields when setting up the price packages at GD > Prices and Payments > edit a package > select post fields, see image.
Thanks
Have a look at WP Appearance > Menus > Main menu, and delete “Add Listing” from your menu settings there.
Let us know if that solved it.
ThanksYou’re welcome 🙂
March 8, 2017 at 9:59 pm in reply to: Customer Support Scenarios — I Currently Feel Ill-Equipped #366249Hi Curtis, firstly, that is a good suggestion to create such an article.
Secondly, I cannot answer all your questions, so will pass this ticket to the developers, but I will have a go, so the developers can correct me.1. It is my understanding that the “draft/publish” status at “GD > Design > Listings” is only for free listings. Any listing that is paid for should be published automatically.
My best guess to answer your question is that Stripe or GD has not been set up correctly.2. When a user signs up for a recurring listing, the price details of the package are sent to to payment gateway.
In case of Stripe, it is your Stripe account that calls for the new payment; Stripe has a record of your recurring customers.
In case of PayPal, is the payment gateway’s records of the user’s agreement that triggers the recurring charge – until the user cancels the agreement with the gateway provider.3. I would guess I new invoice is created, but not sure.
4. I think the only way to do that is for the current setup to be canceled, either automatically by the first non-payment, or by manual cancellation on request of your customer.
Then he/she needs to sign up again.5. I will leave this one to the developers to answer.
I think you just have proven we need to prioritize that article!
Thanks
Hi Mark, users can only link to their own listings.
Admins can link to all listings. Thanks
Kiran has now implemented the first option I was suggesting. Thanks.
I am not sure what shortcode you are using there, but it is not a GD shortcode.
You can change your homepage to GD Home Page at WP Settings > Reading > Front page displays
or
use a GD shortcode for a map: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#locationmapThanks
This is the error message:
“ERROR for site owner:
Invalid domain for site key”Please correct the domain name used for the key or create a new key for the correct domain.
ThanksYou’re welcome 🙂
Please check now, I adjusted your settings at GD > Design > navigation
ThanksYou’re welcome 🙂
Stiofan, is this not similar to what Jeff’s Business Hours does?
His plugin knows the timezone of a listing to show the open/closed status. That page is never supposed to be accessed directly. Users will only get to see that page if you have paid packages and they have finished their submission.
