Thanks Stiofan, it’s clear now. BTW, I can’t figure out the geodir_ codex for getting the content or “description” of the posts. Can you point me to that?

    Thanks!

Yeah, there’s really nothing in the child theme. That is, there are some CSS changes but I’ve gotten rid of ALL the old GDv1 custom stuff, so the version is just not relevant. Let me know if you can take a look like before and see if it’s newspaper interacting with your plugin like X was 🙁 Thanks guys!

Yes, I have the latest version…and that was on my plan to upgrade.

PS: Yes, it’s working. Can you tell me what you did to resolve? Also, i’ll work to apply the upgrade and see if that works too. I suspect that the change you made is in your code somewhere…and fixing it to work with the latest version is the best plan. Apologies for not thinking of that in advance.

Please let me know how you think I should proceed from here. Thanks!

I cleared all the caches, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I poked around to see where something may have changed and I can’t seem to see anything, so I can’t help debug what’s going on. Give me some more specifics and I’ll see if I can help see why your change didn’t take.

I figured this one out. There was a “hide” CSS setting that was…well, hiding the fields. I didn’t put V1 together to it was not something I expected. Anyway, all good on this one. Thanks!

Kiran are you saying there’s no PHP equivalent to geodir-listing and geodir-search in v2?

I’ve read the documentation and understand the new concept, what I’m stuck on is what I’d like to be able to do and just move the v1 geodir-listing and geodir-search customization we did in PHP to the appropriate location and not have to recode it with short-codes etc.

    Can that be done?

What I’m looking for is the v1 .php files listed are not called <blah>.php for each one. This upgrade has been taking forever because of the large customization we did in v1. I don’t have the time to rewrite it but just want to port it. NOTE: We’re really doing the upgrade now because we desperately need the v2 REST API interface that comes with the V2 core. Hop you can help.
