    Thanks, Kiran. This was helpful. I think I have it from here. We should close this out and if I have additional questions I can submit it under a more appropriate title/thread. The root cause of the shortcode issues on the conversion looks to be resources…that is, the job failed due to the amount of data we have and the resources to do the conversion. Thanks for all your help guys.

    Kiran,

    Just trying to port my look and feel from v1 to v2. I have customized classifieds listings and that’s what we used to put the listing featured image forward. See attached pic…or check out:

    What’s the v2 replacement for geodir_show_featured_image and geodir_show_image and the like. They indicated the deprecated and I poked around and can’t find the replacement. Thanks

    I didn’t realize that the WP Easy Update wasn’t installed…and therefore we WEREN”T up-to-date as once I installed it a bunch more of the addons tried to update. SOOOO, we extended our license and now I’m trying to get the new licenses updated/added so that I can upgrade…I’m having a bit of trouble with that. The license dialogues in the plugin list are all greyed out and I can’t enter updated licenses. I’ll figure it out and try the upgrade with the truly upgraded add-ons based on WP Easy Update

    I restored the site I shared with you before and re-ran the upgrade in preparation for our production upgrade…to make sure I can do it and I end up with the same result. That is, the shortcodes don’t translate on any page. Clearly, Kiran was successful, and I wondered if he could share what he did outside what’s listed in the upgrade steps as I’ve tried it six or seven times…no success.

    Kiran,

    Just an update. I’ve tried this every way possible…following you comments, the install etc….always end up with the same thing. Shortcodes don’t work. You clearly did something that I’m either missing or not in the install. Any update you can provide is much appreciated.

    Ahh…thanks, that explains it. I find it hard sometimes to tell the difference between v1 and v2 in the posts, blogs etc. I know you guys are working on that, but it’s just a hard thing to keep track of when you’re searching for answers in your doc.

    BTW, maybe that’s something you’d consider adding back? Making the post_badge have an option as a sash. Reason is that it stands out more on the listing page and also takes up less real-estate.

    Kiran, great. Thanks…so you followed the same directions I did with no problem or was there something you did to make it work? Just curious as I’ll need to replicate this on our prod site. Thanks!
