Hi Alex,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Of course I have been always assuming that “Sorting by price package sorts by the package ID, not the price”.
After two frustrating hours reading and re-reading the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/sorting/ and this thread, and after trying every possible combination, I am giving up.
I can not find the way to achieve what I am looking for. I do not even know yet if it is possible. But I am convinced that is is a very basic sorting configuration that should be very easy to set and make it work.
Additionally, I am absolutely unable to understand the logic behind sorting settings. Not a single thing does what I expect (sorting options, “Is active” checkbox, “Default sort?” button, moving sorting options to subsorting).
I have the strong feeling that there are more than one bugs or malfunctions. I simply refuse to accept that I could be so stupid 🙂
In any case, I firmly believe that a detailed documentation and several fully explained examples would be absolutey necessary.
Best regards.
Hi Alex,
Thank you very much for your response.
Sorry, I did not explain correctly the problem:
1) The three options “Aleatori”, “A – Z” and “Z – A” do show in the dropdown menu.
2) I select the “A Taula” Category in the Home page, which is the Category with more listings.
3) Archive page for “A Taula” Category shows with the “default” sorting option “Aleatori” (“random”). Apparently, listings show sorted as expected:
a – Featured first with featured listings in random order.
b – Then listings sorted by Packages and randomly within each Package, that is, NOT featured listings in random order for the most expensive Package, then NOT featured listings in random order for the second most expensive Package,…. finally NOT featured listings in random order for the least expensive Package.
4) When “A – Z” option selected, listings show sorted exactly like for “random” instead than as expected:
a – Featured first with featured listings sorted alphabetically from A to Z.
b – Then listings sorted by Packages and alphabetically from A to Z within each Package, that is, NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from A to Z for the most expensive Package, then NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from A to Z for the second most expensive Package,…. finally NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from A to Z for the least expensive Package.
5) When “Z – A” option selected, listings show sorted in the inverse way as expected:
a – Listings sorted by Packages and alphabetically from Z to A within each Package in the inverse order, that is, NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from A to Z for the least expensive Package, then NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from Z to A for the second least expensive Package,…. finally NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from Z to A for the most expensive Package.
b – Then featured last with featured listings sorted alphabetically from Z to A.
While the sorting order expected was:
a – Featured first with featured listings sorted alphabetically from Z to A.
b – Then listings sorted by Packages and alphabetically from Z to A within each Package, that is, NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from A to Z for the most expensive Package, then NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from Z to A for the second most expensive Package,…. finally NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from Z to A for the least expensive Package.
4) It is not possible to select again the option “Aleatori” (“random”) since it changes itself to “A – Z”.
I am really very confused. I believe that there is a combination of factors going on here:
1) There is something wrong, some bug.
2) I am doing something wrong, but I am not seeing what.
3) Something that I want to do is simply not possible.I look forward to your news.
Thank you very much once again for your help.
Best regards.
This reply has been marked as private.Hi Guust,
Thank you very much for your response. Unfortunately, now I am even more confused.
Please, allow me to go again to the sorting options I would like to achieve to configure.
1) Default sorting (RANDOM):
a – Featured first with featured listings in random order.
b – Then listings sorted by Packages and randomly within each Package, that is, NOT featured listings in random order for the most expensive Package, then NOT featured listings in random order for the second most expensive Package,…. finally NOT featured listings in random order for the least expensive Package.
Apparently this has been achieved with the settings as per the first screenshot attached. However, “Is Featured?” field had to be marked as “default”, otherwise it did not work as expected.
2) Optional sorting 1 (A to Z):
a – Featured first with featured listings sorted alphabetically from A to Z.
b – Then listings sorted by Packages and alphabetically from A to Z within each Package, that is, NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from A to Z for the most expensive Package, then NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from A to Z for the second most expensive Package,…. finally NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from A to Z for the least expensive Package.
3) Optional sorting 2 (Z to A):
a – Featured first with featured listings sorted alphabetically from Z to A.
b – Then listings sorted by Packages and alphabetically from Z to A within each Package, that is, NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from A to Z for the most expensive Package, then NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from Z to A for the second most expensive Package,…. finally NOT featured listings in alphabetical order from Z to A for the least expensive Package.
In the second screenshot you can see how I unsuccesfully tried to set these two additional sorting options.
The third option does not even show in the dropdown sorting options menu.
Please, let me know if it is possible or not to achieve what I am looking to achieve and how, or if it is simply not possible.
I suspect that the fact that the “Is Featured?” field of the first sorting option had to be marked as default and those of the other two sorting options can not, has something to do, but then I am very confused about this “default”. What does it “default” to? I thought that it was the “default” sorting option, but then why does it not work as expected if it is not marked?
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much once again for your help.
Best regards.

Thank you very much for your response.
It was not a question of switching off the image test, but the fact that it was always triggered, not only occasionally as it is usual.
Anyway, I switched to reCAPTCHA v3 that solves all the issues, at least by now.
By the way, do you know if there is some way to change the position of the reCAPTCHA v3 label?
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much once again for your help.

Any news?
The problem with this issue is that the image is saved twice in the media library.
I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much for your responses.
Done!
Best regards.
Hi Kiran,
Thank you very much for your response.
I checked and I can confirm that the error message “Invalid post id!” does not longer show when sending a GD Listing Claim form.
In the Ninja Forms Dashboard I see that you created a new GeoDirectory Claim Form. Can I delete it?
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much once again for your help.
Best regards.
